One of the highlights of the winter months in Plett is The Wedge Classic bodyboarding contest. Held every year in July, South Africa’s longest running bodyboarding contest is held at the popular Wedge Beach and draws crowds of holiday makers to compete and watch the action. The Wedge Beach – as it’s name suggests – is one of South Africa’s favourite wedging breaks and ideal for the acrobatic manoeuvres popular with bodyboarders. The beach also offers various vantage points from which to watch the action.
