In 2015, Marlon Baartman, a descendant of the Griqua settlers from nearby Kranshoek, took over the reins of Ocean Safaris. His journey from humble beginnings to business ownership is a testament to resilience and dedication. Starting as a casual labourer assisting with boat maintenance and logistics, Marlon worked his way up to skipper before acquiring the company.
