Winter Surf Fest

Winter Surf Fest is set to bring the energy, adrenaline and winter swell magic back to Plettenberg Bay from 8 - 12  July.

Hosted along Plett's coastline, the festival celebrates the heart of South African wave-riding culture with a full week of surfing and bodyboarding action, beach lifestyle, community spirit and ocean stoke. From rising young groms to seasoned riders, competitors and spectators can expect powerful winter waves, high-performance surfing and bodyboarding divisions, and an electric atmosphere both in and out of the water.

A major event on the Plett Ocean Festival programme, the Winter Surf Fest showcases the raw beauty of Plett in winter where whales cruise the bay, cold fronts deliver pumping swell, and the coastline comes alive with ocean lovers from around the country. Expect an unforgettable week of waves, beach culture, family fun and fierce competition as athletes push limits in some of South Africa's most exciting winter conditions.

PLETT BOARDRIDERS ASSOCIATION

Plett Boardriders Association is a non-profit community organisation dedicated to promoting surfing, bodyboarding, skateboarding and ocean-based activities in Plettenberg Bay. Through events, coaching, youth development and community initiatives, the association aims to grow participation in board sports while fostering a safe, inclusive and vibrant ocean culture for all ages.
