Whales and Dolphins

Join Dr Gwen Penry as she introduces you to some of the 51+ species of whales and dolphins that occur in southern African waters, many of them familiar, and some lesser-known. Gwen will present an update on their population and conservation status, the threats they face and some of the current research underway.

Expect some interesting facts about cetaceans (basic biology) and more technical aspects of how they are studied and what has been learned over the past few years.
